TREASURE-HUNTING TILBA STYLE!

You never know what you'll find at our local jumble sale.  Held on the second Sunday of the month at the Tilba Big Hall from 9am-1pm.

 

Stallholders can contact Janine on 0400 992 246 to book a spot or email via the Tilba Halls website.

HERITAGE FESTIVAL

NATIONAL TRUST EVENT

On the cards for April 2024 Tilba will be again participating in the National Heritage Festival with Zoe Burke from Tilba Talks Heritage Walks.

​

The Australian Heritage Festival is the country's largest community-driven celebration of heritage. In 2023, three local "Yarning Stories" were held and 2024 will see a return of this National event!

TILBA FESTIVAL

CELEBRATE TILBA

The Tilba Festival is a new-found tradition, a wonderful fun-filled day to celebrate all things Tilba!

​

Tilba Festival offers an eclectic mix of music, food, games and entertainment for all ages. Nestled at the foot of Gulaga ( Mother mountain) in Central Tilba.

​

We are looking forward to another fantastic festival in 2024!  Stay tuned for dates....

TILBA WOODSHOW

CELEBRATING WOODCRAFT

Running for over 20 years now, local woodwork club, the Narooma Woodies runs the annual Tilba Woodshow on the Saturday and Sunday of the June long weekend.

​

The wood show is organised by the Combined Woodwork Clubs of the Far South Coast. 

Members of the Narooma Woodies spend many months making finely crafted items for the show.

which is held in the two halls of the Central Tilba Community.

 

Featuring beautiful hand-turned bowls, fine furniture and the ubiquitous yet incredibly useful spoons and chopping boards it's lovely to browse and appreciate the skills of these craftsmen.

TILBA SCHOOL OF ARTS

COMMUNITY HUB

The two Central Tilba School of Arts Halls are a hub of community activity and a large part of Tilba's heritage.

 

Owned by the community, the buildings are managed by The Central Tilba School of Arts Trust and funded by volunteers and the greater community in general.

 

The Committee are dedicated to organising fund-raising and also manage the ongoing care, maintenance and hire of the Big and Small Halls.

​

A wide variety of events are held in the Halls each year including Trivia Nights, dances, exhibitions, markets and performances.

​
