French Cafe comes to Tilba Tilba!

Big news for all fans of the French culinary creations by Patricia Coutant (formerly Golden Cake Tilba) with her new cafe / restaurant - 'La Galette' in Tilba Tilba.

Patricia is from France and studied crepe & galette making in Brittany .Here she also learned to bake traditional French cakes such as Far Breton. All are now part of her repertoire.

Ever since leaving France 15 years ago and taking up residency in Australia seven years ago, Patricia has dreamed of opening her own cafe and restaurant.

She says 'Finally my dream comes true with a very good opportunity to start a cafe in Tilba Tilba!'

La Galette's signature dish is the Galette - a gluten free, buckwheat flour savoury crepe originating in Brittany.

Patricia also makes sweet crepes, cakes and homemade butter. Her Welsh cakes (with homemade butter), Far Breton (a baked custard with prunes) and Melted French Chocolate Cake with double cream are great favourites!

Patricia sources her coffee (up there with the best) from Alfred & Co.

Her milk and cream are from Tilba Real Dairy at the iconic ABC Cheese Factory in Central Tilba.

Eggs and veggies are from various local farms - all local produce of exceptional quality.

With the new Tilba Nursery right next door, Tilba Tilba now offers visitors and locals two great new businesses to enjoy. An added bonus is the gardening talk given each month at La Galette by Tilba Nursery's owner - Keith Munday.

Where: 'La Galette' is in the refurbished Pam's Store building at 266 Corkhill Drive, Tilba Tilba

When: opens from 9am to 3pm Tuesday to Saturday and 9am to 2pm Sunday.
